After committing an unspeakable crime that caused his face to be plastered on wanted posters across the kingdom of Norraine, he’s forced to live on the streets, running from the King’s Army. Only, the Fates have a sadistic sense of humor, and he ran right into the one person he shouldn’t trust.

Now, Lenore must convince Orser to believe in her visions of him bringing Norraine to its knees. But one look into Lenore’s mischievous eyes, and Orser knows he’s done for. In order to endure Lenore’s manipulation, he must close his heart to her, just like he has to everyone else.

If only the Fates weren’t so cruel.

This is an upper YA/NA (16+) villain love story, told in dual POV.

Embers of Fate is a short novella set in the world of Elice, the Great, a complete young adult fantasy series that retells the classic fairytale Rapunzel, with slow-burn romance, diverse POC characters, and themes of coming-of-age, self-discovery, and identity. It can be read out of order from the series or enjoyed on its own.
